WEIGH IN 5-6-19

162/167/135

Okay.. so you were treated to a different type of blog post last week. LOL That Weekend Travel post was to go under my An Ozarks Journal blog. Geez. I usually catch those burps but in trying to get posts up so that Bob and I could spend our last couple of days together, that one went by me. Now I know why the post did NOT show up on the journal blog.

Okay.. so a couple of things to cover today. I sincerely hope you'll understand what I'm about to say.

First off, I HAVE to do better about my weight loss. My glucose numbers are reflecting the fact I've put five pounds back on. I'll admit. When Bob is home, I don't do my salads here at home every day. I don't eat the amount of vegies I should.. because Bob's intake is limited to two things:
canned peas (ewww)
french style green beans with cheese sauce (I like these actually LOL)

But I can only eat so many green beans. When I make him peas I will eat them if I can mix them with mashed potatoes. Otherwise, I will make frozen peas.

As you'll see below, if you don't know already, I am a Stampin' UP! demonstrator. I placed a reasonable order last week from Clearance to build up my future Etsy shop plus put in a big order (the largest I've EVER placed) on our pre-order in preparation for the 2019-2020 catalog releasing June 4th. I have to pay for that so I'm turning in all of my change.

But here's the thing..
1) I found a hidden $100 bill yesterday from a previous weight challenge won
2) Last weigh in neither of us one... making this new round worth $200!!!

Winning this current challenge would pay for half my order. That would be really sweet. I have enough change stashed in the office to cover the rest... I hoard my change and in this case, that's a good thing LOL

So I REALLY need to buckle down and get back to eating properly.

Stress also raises glucose numbers and I've been stressed a lot trying to get time in the garden between rain drops, keep up with blogs (which I'm only succeeding on 2 at the moment), get the house straightened up before the girls' arrival and stay on top of office stuff in general. Did I mention writing Book 2 in the series? LOL

So yeah.. something has to give!

Last week was a perfect example of how crazy things are here... and with the girls' arrival on June 1 the time allotments will only get tighter. I HAVE to cut some things.

June 1 - the girls arrive
June 4 - Stampin' UP! new catalog release
June 20thish - Launch Etsy shop
July 1 - Book 2 in my series releases
Mid-August - the girls go back home
August 25 - Contest entries due
September 4 - Stampin' UP! Holiday catalog launches
October 1 - Book 3 in series releases

While this blog began as a weight loss journey, I'm not getting comments/ feedback.. lots of voyeurism. I'm okay with that as long as I know what I'm sharing is helping someone to at least feel they are not alone on this journey.

So here's the deal..

Based on the afore mentioned schedule, I have to step back from the blogs that are not part of my income flow at the moment.  My summer is dedicated to book writing, new product launch, prepping for the Etsy grand opening and most of all - TIME WITH MY GIRLS! We will be doing all kinds of fun stuff. Abby's my crafter and Adrian is my garden buddy. Plus there will be field trips and library days, time at the creek... well, you get the idea.

So until September 1, this blog will be my Monday Weigh In. I KNOW I can't plan anything else.
In the mean time, I hope to get some other posts organized so I can get us through the rest of the year without fail.

By the end of this year I will know whether or not this blog continues into 2020....

... and a big part of that decision will come from you.

If you want this blog to continue, if you get anything from my posts I NEED to hear from you.

For now... I'm stepping back and Enjoying the Journey

WEIGH IN 6-19-17

188/172/135

As you can see, I'm up a pound this week. Not surprised as the girls and I find a routine. I'm eating things I shouldn't because the things I eat, they won't. I miss the days when my oldest granddaughter would eat pretty much whatever I did. The youngest is beyond picky. A typical 5-year old, you can't reason with her that sausage is sausage, regardless of the shape. ie she'll eat links but she doesn't like patties. :-D

We're learning compromises.

Now that the girls are acquainted with their new surroundings, this week we start an actual routine... one that I integrate with my existing schedule.

Mondays are  my day to deep clean the bedroom/ laundry room/ bathroom. So I already have the beds stripped and the first round of blankets on the line, sheets will be next. We've all had breakfast and they are dressed. Now they are happily occupying themselves while I get a couple of blog posts up then get 'people can see me' clothes.

Mondays also become our library day. Adrian needs to be reading closer to her 4th grade level by the time school starts. Abby needs brushing up on things though she is super smart. She loves to add simple numbers, can spell some words and can almost count to 20. Did I mention she's only 5.5?

So as we embark on this new weekly routine, I'm going to pop my vitamin B, get dressed and have a 'summer school' conference with my new students

Enjoy the Journey!
