Weigh In 3-25-19

NOTE::: I've added the scale icon ahead of time. If there isn't a further post, please come back later. With the girls here, I'm trying to prep ahead as much as possible so I'm on here less during their visit. Thank you!  Enjoy the Journey

162/ 164  /135

No gain or loss. With all the steps I put in last week, you'd think there would be a loss. I put in almost 16,000 steps on Thursday prepping the house for the girls' arrival. Washing/ line drying their new bedding, cleaning the living room and making space for their new ottoman beds.

Speaking of those beds, The ottoman beds from Wayfair are AMAZING! We are able to leave two of them folded up into the ottoman in the living room in front of the entertainment center. They simply fold out into a slim-twin bed. They have a 2" memory foam (if memory serves me lol). I did buy a thin Q memory foam pad and folded that in half to put across the bed just to create a buffer over the seams where the ottoman folds up.

Here are a couple of pics from the Wayfair site:

Note that I did NOT pay that price. They come up on sale frequently. Just book mark it and wait for sale notification.  When I was shopping for them, they were out of stock for awhile so I checked with local furniture stores and all of the managements told me that even if they did carry them, they wouldn't be able to beat Wayfair's price. Good to know.

Off to start my busy week of playing here. Whatever is on your agenda for this final week of March..

Enjoy the journey!

WEIGH IN 3-18-19

165/164/135

Technically, I'm up two pounds. LOL BUT I weighed 162 when Bob left on Saturday. Hmmm... what did I do? Didn't change the way I've been eating at all so we shall see.

One of the things I'm missing most since I've changed my eating habits is cake. I've not missed soda at all - which I really thought I would. But man... have I been craving a rich Chocolate Cake.

This all began about two weeks ago. My sister, Kitty, and I spent four fun-filled crafting days at a hotel in Springfield. The last morning we ate breakfast at iHop after loading the vehicles. A pre-teen at the table next to us ordered the Triple Chocolate pancakes. OMG! As if just seeing the stack wasn't bad enough, her mom took a bite and quickly informed us it was like eating a rich chocolate cake.

Fastforward a week. Bob and I had 'date day' Friday before he left out on the boat. We tried a new cafe for a light lunch. The food was really good. They were kind enough to put my burger (hand made) on wheat toast rather than a bun. When we went up to pay, a decadent triple layer chocolate cake sat on a glass cake stand under a clear cloche. Chocolate cake with mini chocolate chips, chocolate frosting topped with Caramel chips!! At $3 a slice, man.. was that tempting. Had we been on our way home instead of just heading into Poplar Bluff, I may have considered bringing that puppy home and freezing it in petite four bites.

So this week, my big push is to make sure I drink ALL 8 glasses of water. Every last drop! I'm using the water tracker both in my planner and on my phone. An app called Daily Carb.

I haven't been on the Gazelle since I've been averaging 6,000 steps+ a day just doing house stuff. We've had to move the gazelle into the sewing corner of my office to make room for the girls' beds in the living room. At least it's more in my line of sight.

What's on your 'push' list. Let me know. I'd love to hear from you!
Enjoy the journey!

WEIGH IN 3-4-19

165/162/135

yep.. up a couple pounds. Not sure why other than Bob is home and I'm eating a bit differently. Not as much as I would have in the past. Not as much fish as in past weeks. Bob is a red meat guy. I had also run low on salad makings until about Wednesday or Thursday. I've restocked lettuce and tomatoes as well as a cucumber.

Funny, when I was younger, my (step) mom is the one who got me into eating salads. One thing I could not cave in and eat was cucumber slices and tomatoes in vinegar and oil. Well, guess what I've added to my side option?  Mom is smiling down on me. My next try will be a bean salad... maybe I can get brave this summer for that one.

This week is going to be crazy. We get our taxes done this week, then I'm meeting up with my middle sister for a couple days at a hotel to talk nothing but mixed media and junk journals without interruption. She's getting into junk journals and is needing a bit of tool/ ephemera direction. I look forward to seeing her first completed project.

Eating out won't be a problem. I know that one day we're probably going to be Golden Corral so I have the salad bar as well as chicken and fish options. They've just reopened our favorite location after a remodel so I'm looking forward to seeing that one. Friday - with or without her is Mikados for crab legs and fish.

I won't be getting the walking in that I do here at home. I hit over 12,000 steps two different days last week just working in the studio! I didn't rack up that many steps shopping LOL

So there's my week. My plan is to just stay on task as much as possible. I'll have to pack snacks for the every three hours nibbles.

Whatever you have planned for the week, remember to ...

Enjoy the Journey!
